Agfa HealthCare has signed an agreement with Meander Medical Center in Amersfoort, the Netherlands, to upgrade the hospital's existing Impax PACS and to implement both Agfa's RIS and nuclear information system (NIS), with speech recognition, the company said.
The deal also includes a managed services contract and data storage. Agfa and Meander Medical Center signed the contract for the upgraded PACS and the new RIS/NIS in 2012. Implementation is to be completed in March 2013, according to Agfa.
