Agfa HealthCare has installed both its Xero image viewer and Impax HeartStation ECG (electronic electrocardiograms) management system at Birmingham Children's Hospital National Health Service (NHS) Foundation Trust.
Birmingham Children's Hospital treats approximately 240,000 sick children each year from across the U.K. and has more than 50 specialties, including trauma, liver transplants, and cardiac, neonatal, and epilepsy surgery.
Agfa's Xero viewer is designed to provide secure access to images and reports across a hospital's enterprise and beyond via Web-enabled devices using standard browsers with no additional software downloaded.
Agfa's Impax HeartStation is a vendor-neutral ECG management system, which now can be viewed in full at any time and in any location across the hospital using either HeartStation as a standalone application or fully integrated with Agfa HealthCare's Impax PACS and RIS.
