Nucletron reaches 1000th sale of OncentraBrachy software

Radiation therapy firm Nucletron, an Elekta company, announced that St. Vincent's Private Hospital in Dublin has become its 1,000th customer of OncentraBrachy brachytherapy treatment planning software.

Oncentra, introduced in 2008 for worldwide sales, is Nucletron's software platform for radiotherapy treatment planning. It works with the company's products for brachytherapy imaging and treatment delivery, and can be integrated with Oncentra External Beam, software that provides intensity modulated radiotherapy (IMRT), volumetric arc modulated therapy (VMAT), and proton therapy planning capabilities.

St. Vincent's Private Hospital, with 236 inpatient beds, is located adjacent to St. Vincent's University Hospital, and is the largest private hospital operating in Dublin.
