CyberKnife installed at London's Royal Marsden

Radiation therapy firm Accuray announced that it has installed its CyberKnife robotic radiosurgery system in the Royal Marsden cancer center in London. The system will be used to treat approximately 200 patients in its first year, according to the company. It was purchased by the Royal Marsden Cancer Charity.

Also, the company has installed more than 100 of its TomoDirect image-guided intensity-modulated radiation therapy systems throughout the world. Introduced in 2010, TomoDirect is used on the company's TomoHD treatment system to deliver radiation at fixed angles, such as those required for whole-breast accelerated partial-breast irradiation.
