Metrasens has installed its Ferroguard ferromagnetic detection system at a new MRI facility at a U.K. hospital, the company announced.
The system is now available in a new 3-tesla MRI suite at the University of College London Hospitals National Health Service (NHS) Foundation trust, one of the largest trusts in the country.
The ferromagnetic detectors have been installed to provide additional security for patients and staff, as well as protection for the scanner room itself, from potentially hazardous ferromagnetic objects, the company said.
