French ultrasound technology firm SuperSonic Imagine has unveiled its new UltraFast Doppler technology at the World Federation for Ultrasound in Medicine and Biology (WFUMB) congress in Vienna.
UltraFast Doppler is designed to combine color-flow imaging with pulsed-wave Doppler to enhance the speed of color flow clips on the company's Aixplorer scanner. This results in high-frame-rate color-flow clips that are up to 10 times faster than conventional color Doppler, according to the company.
UltraFast Doppler also acquires fully quantifiable Doppler data throughout the color box, enabling the generation of postprocessed pulsed-wave Doppler spectra from multiple locations in the same image.
