Medical imaging IT and cybersecurity company Sectra's order bookings for the second quarter surpassed SEK 4 billion (€347 million), a new record for the highest level in a single quarter for the company.
For the second quarter, which ended on 31 October, Sectra reported that contracted order bookings rose 739.6% to SEK 4.2 billion (€364 million), most of which pertained to guaranteed order bookings. Of the guaranteed order bookings, 3% were recognized during the quarter and a further 1% to 11% will pertain to revenue within 12 months after the end of the quarter, the company said. Cloud recurring revenue also increased 29.9% to SEK 121.3 million (€10.5 million).
For the six-month period from May to October 2024, contracted order bookings rose 39.3% to SEK 4.8 billion (€416 million). The company also reported a net sales increase of 9.3% for the period.
Sectra said that these results illustrate a continued positive trend for secure communications and progress in the transition to selling medical diagnostic imaging as a service. It added that more extensive contracts with customers lead to large variations in order bookings, sales, and earnings between quarters.
