Philips Healthcare parent Royal Philips has completed an informatics project that integrates radiology and nuclear medicine imaging data in Southern Denmark.
The project has created a single, consolidated system for physicians in the region to store, retrieve, and view clinical images across all locations and specialties, according to the vendor. The region includes 12 hospitals that serve more than 1.2 million people on the mainland and islands.
The new system reaches more than 5,000 clinicians in the region, and it especially benefits about 300 radiologists and nuclear medicine specialists who collectively perform 1.5 million annual exams, Philips noted.
