The European Coordination Committee of the Radiological, Electromedical and Healthcare IT Industry (COCIR) recently celebrated 60 years of innovation and advancement in medical technology with a gala in Brussels.
The event focused on the future of healthcare and the need for the industry to be data-driven, regulated, and sustainable to meet patient needs. COCIR's gala featured four panel sessions on the following topics:
- Research and innovation, and value in health
- Digital health and artificial intelligence
- Laws, regulations, and standards
- Circular economy and global sustainability
COCIR Secretary General Nicole Denjoy closed the event with forward-looking remarks, according to a COCIR statement: "We will continue to play our leading role in the future in advancing healthcare in cooperation with our respected partners and stakeholders," she said.
