Barco launches new color display

Image display firm Barco has launched a new diagnostic color display with 5.8-megapixel (MP) resolution.

The Nio Color display comes with color calibration technology for consistent images, whether in color or grayscale. It was designed for radiology applications that require excellent grayscale rendition and detail, such as mammography and breast tomosynthesis, the firm said.

The display's aspect ratio works for tall x-ray images -- especially for the mediolateral oblique view in mammography, Barco added. It comes with SpotView technology to get a closer look at a particular region of interest.

The display also has SteadyColor technology to ensure consistency in color from display to display, as well as MediCal QAWeb for automated calibration and quality assurance. Other options include features for dimming of auxiliary displays, enhancing visualization of details, and personalizing display settings, Barco said.
