Agfa HealthCare is preparing to launch the next generation of its Musica image processing software for digital radiography (DR) studies.
The work-in-progress software features new technology improvements designed to enhance image quality and workflow for radiographers and radiologists, Agfa said.
The upgrade will allow radiologists to get more diagnostic information from images, including greater detail in the mediastinum, sharp trabecular, and cortical bones; a balance of both soft-tissue and overlapping bone structures; visualization of details in the abdomen; and a better representation of implants with clear bone interfaces, according to the company.
Agfa plans to debut the Musica upgrade at this year's RSNA 2013 meeting next month in Chicago. The company expects the software to be available in March 2014.
