RadNet subsidiary DeepHealth has acquired U.K.-based AI cancer diagnostics company Kheiron Medical Technologies, marking a major consolidation in the AI-powered breast cancer screening sector. The deal brings together DeepHealth’s Smart Mammo platform with Kheiron's Mia product.
Kheiron, founded in 2016 and headquartered in London, develops deep-learning AI software to identify malignancies in mammograms. Its CE-marked software Mia was deployed in Europe in the U.K.’s first prospective evaluation of AI technology for breast cancer screening, DeepHealth said.
The clinically validated software complements DeepHealth’s portfolio and expands the company’s reach in Europe, the company said. Terms of the deal were not disclosed.
