The German Radiological Society (DRG) and the German Society for Nuclear Medicine (DGN) are working together to promote hybrid imaging -- PET/MRI, PET/CT, and SPECT/CT -- in Germany.
The societies have formed an interdisciplinary working group for hybrid imaging, which held its first meeting on 27 September in Berlin. The main focus of the joint work is the development of prospective multicenter study concepts, which allow for standardization of studies as well as a valid statistical analysis, according to the societies. A consensus paper is also being developed on integrated whole-body FDG-PET/MRI for oncology, and is expected to be released later in 2017.
Further details about the working group can be found on the DRG's website.
