ENCITE plans free workshop in Leiden

The European Network for Cell Imaging and Tracking Expertise (ENCITE) is organizing a workshop to present new technologies and methods in the field of imaging cell therapies, and also contrast agents.

The free public workshop will be held on 5 November at the Leiden Universitair Medisch Centrum in Leiden, the Netherlands. It will mark the conclusion of the four-year-long ENCITE project in which 29 partners from 10 countries with leading expertise in the field of cell imaging participated.

Project scientists will present their highlights in the fields of novel imaging technologies, novel imaging reporter probes, novel tools for cell labeling, preclinical validation, and translation toward clinical applications.

The workshop will include an international panel discussing the role of imaging in medicine over the next 10 years. It will also include a roundtable discussion of the measures needed to take forward the developments in imaging in Europe.

Advance registration is required to participate. The deadline is 10 October 2012.
