United Imaging Healthcare (UIH) showcased its PET/CT device, uExplorer, at the European Association of Nuclear Medicine (EANM) annual congress in Barcelona.
uExplorer is an ultrahigh-resolution PET/CT with a 194 cm axial PET field of view. It allows for scanning of the entire body in one bed position, according to the firm, which developed the product in collaboration with the University of California (UC), Davis.
Continuing its work with UC Davis and adding Yale University to the collaboration, United Imaging said it is now developing NeuroeXplorer, a brain PET scanner.
