The Royal Australian and New Zealand College of Radiologists (RANZCR) has revealed the program for its 72nd annual scientific meeting, being held 27-30 October.
The meeting, which is being held at the Adelaide Convention Centre in South Australia, will include more than 250 presentations across 70-plus sessions and workshops, as well as various social events.
One of the highlights of the meeting is expected to be a session on radiology in space that will recognize the critical role of radiology in space science. The session will also present the world's first demonstration of brain MRI scans of astronauts.
Additionally, there will be an in-depth expert review of Australia's first application of the latest photon-counting CT scans in South Australia, as well as sessions addressing current controversies and future developments in proton therapy for cancers in anticipation of the Australian Bragg Centre. The site will be the first proton therapy facility in the Southern Hemisphere.
