The 2022 MRI Safety Week will take place from 25 to 29 July and is being hosted by the British Institute of Radiology's (BIR) safety campaign.
A series of podcasts led by Dr. Mark Radon, a consultant neuroradiologist at the Walton Centre in Liverpool will cover safety aspects in the MRI setting, including advice on the Institute of Physics and Engineering in Medicine (IPEM) Magnetic Resonance Safety Expert (MRSE) qualification, the role of radiographers in MR safety and cardiac devices, and safety advice sheets.
The first podcast will cover cardiac devices and scanning patients with pacemakers. It will include guests Dr. Charlotte Manisty from the University College London and Dr. Jonathan Ashmore from National Health Services Highland.
