The European Society of Radiology (ESR) awarded gold medals at ECR 2022 to two senior Spanish radiologists, Prof. LuĂs MartĂ-BonmatĂ from Valencia and Prof. Laura Oleaga from Barcelona.
In a press release issued on 18 July by the Spanish Society of Medical Radiology (SERAM), MartĂ-BonmatĂ said that recognition by colleagues is one of the greatest satisfactions that can be had in professional life.
"If this recognition is also carried out through the society that encompasses us all in Europe, in an act as impressive as the opening ceremony and surrounded by my family and friends, it fills me with joy and pride," he said.
Oleaga said that it's a "great honor to receive this recognition from the ESR that I would like to share with all radiology professionals involved in training new generations of radiologists."
