The Health Information and Quality Authority inspected dental and medical facilities in Ireland and found eight sites were breaking x-ray and CT scan radiation regulations, according to an article published on 19 July in the Independent of Ireland.
The facilities, including Annesley Dental Clinic, Ballsbridge Dental Clinic, and Cabra Dental Centre, were not in compliance with regulations, including equipment, undertaking, recognition of medical physics experts, responsibilities of medical physics experts, and involvement of medical physics experts in medical radiological practice, according to the story.
