Italian ultrasound vendor Esaote reported increased revenue for its 2021 fiscal year.
Revenue for the period (end-31 December) was 231.3 million euros, up 5.3% compared with 2020. The firm's operating income rose 2.4% to 9.4 million euros, and its net profit hit 4 million euros, up from 1 million euros the previous year.
Revenue from sales of Esaote's ultrasound systems increased by 5%, while its MRI revenue increased by 39.8%, it said. The company also posted a revenue increase of 5.5% in its diagnostic imaging software segment.
These revenue boosts were driven by sales in Western Europe (19.6%), North America (14%), and China (13%), according to the firm.
