The U.K. Royal College of Radiologists (RCR) has named Prof. Rowena Johnson as its clinical lead and chair for clinical radiology RCR learning.

Johnson will begin her term on 1 March and will work with the current chair, Dr. Ash Chakraborty, during a transition period. Those in this position collaborate with the RCR learning team and with its chair for clinical oncology to develop professional learning resources.
This year, an important focus for Johnson will be developing a program for the RCR's annual conference, to be held in Birmingham in October, according to a statement.
Johnson is a musculoskeletal radiologist with expertise in professional sports. She is chair of sports medicine imaging at the Carnegie School of Sport at Leeds Beckett University, advisory editor of Clinical Radiology, and a member of the scientific advisory council for the International Society of Clinical Densitometry.
