The German Röntgen Society (DRG) has given its 2021 Young Investigator award jointly to two radiology researchers: Dr. Sven Nebelung from the University Hospital RWTH Aachen and Eckhard Wehrse, a doctoral candidate at the German Cancer Research Center in Heidelberg.
Nebelung's award is for research on whole-leg x-ray exams, while Wehrse's prize is for research on photon-counting low-dose CT.
Nebelung and Wehrse received the awards at the meeting of the German Radiology Congress in Berlin.
