Diagnostic imaging, outpatient, and cancer care services provider Affidea has installed GE Healthcare's latest version of the DoseWatch contrast and radiation monitoring software.
Affidea's centers in Hungary are now using version 3.2 of GE's DoseWatch software, along with a new business intelligence tool that allows enhanced monitoring of dosing.
Advantages of the new version include notifications about the clinical context and cumulative dose of iodine, together with details about injections. The new features will help centers personalize dosing, strengthen clinical protocols, reduce risk of unnecessary dosing, and improve tracking of adverse events, Affidea said.
After Hungary, Affidea plans to follow up with a launch in Spain and to roll out in other countries in 2022.
