Breast imaging software developer Volpara announced it has received a new European patent covering image quantification methods in its breast health platform. The patent is the latest of 98 the company now holds in 27 countries.
Volpara's breast health platform collects and analyzes information to better understand a patient's breast cancer risk, while also objectively evaluating image quality and workflow-improvement opportunities, the company said.
Company leaders said the patents facilitate the sales and growth strategy of its product line, which includes software geared toward patient reporting and communication, image/exam quality monitoring and feedback, and automated breast density calculations.
