Senior radiologist Dr. Sanjay Kumar Barman India dies of COVID-19

Indian radiologist Dr. Sanjay Kumar Barman died on 15 June at the age of 70 due to complications associated with COVID-19, according to media reports.

A senior doctor from Meghalaya, Barman was a radiologist with the Meghalaya government for most of his career. After his retirement, he continued to work, first at Ramakrishna Mission Clinic in Shillong and then in Guwahati for 10 years.

Barman completed his MBBS from the Guwahati Medical College Hospital in 1980 and completed short-term training in CT in 2006 at AIIMS in New Delhi. He died at the North Eastern Indira Gandhi Regional Institute of Health and Medical Sciences.

Barman was a resident of Laitumkhrah in Shillong. He is survived by his wife and two sons.
