RCR pays tribute to life and achievements of Prince Philip

The U.K. Royal College of Radiologists (RCR) has expressed its deep sadness over the announcement on 9 April of the death of Prince Philip, the Duke of Edinburgh.

"The Duke of Edinburgh was an extraordinary beacon of duty and service. We are very grateful for his support and he will be deeply missed. We send our most heartfelt condolences to Her Majesty The Queen and the Royal Family," the RCR said on Twitter and Instagram.

On 19 December 1979, Prince Philip became an honorary fellow of the RCR. This ceremony coincided with his official opening of the former office of the RCR at 38 Portland Place in London.
