The British Institute of Radiology (BIR) Council has nominated medical physicist Prof. Stephen Keevil, PhD, as its president-elect for 2022 to 2024.
Keevil is the BIR's current vice president of external affairs; he is also head of the medical physics department at Guy's and St. Thomas' NHS Foundation Trust, professor of medical physics at King's College, London, and director of King's Technology Evaluation Centre.
In addition to having served on the BIR's MR Special Interest Management Group and its MR Safety Working Party, he has held the position of president of both the United Kingdom Radiological Congress and the Institute of Physics and Engineering in Medicine.
