The European Society of Radiology (ESR) said that ECR 2020 Online has been accredited by the European Accreditation Council for Continuing Medical Education (EACCME) of the European Union of Medical Specialists (UEMS) and by the Austrian Medical Chamber (österreichische ärztekammer).

The congress has been accredited by the EACCME for a maximum of 28 European CME credits (ECMECs), while the Austrian Medical Chamber has accredited the event for a maximum of 25 Diplom-Fortbildungs-Programm der österreichischen Akademie der ärzte (DFP) credits.

Via an agreement between UEMS and the American Medical Association (AMA), physicians may also convert EACCME credits to an equivalent number of AMA Physician's Recognition Award (PRA) Category 1 credits, according to the ESR. The society also noted that live educational activities occurring outside of Canada that are recognized by the UEMS-EACCME for ECMEC are deemed to be Accredited Group Learning Activities (Section 1) as defined by the Maintenance of Certification Program of the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada.

ECR 2020 Online will be held between 15 and 19 July.
