The Breast Imaging Society of India (BISI) has delivered a lifetime achievement award to Dr. László Tabár for his many years of work promoting and investigating the early detection of breast cancer.
During his career in radiology spanning more than 40 years, Tabár has trained and educated thousands of radiologists on breast cancer screening. Now a professor emeritus of radiology at Uppsala University in Sweden, he continued this effort at the recent BISI annual congress in India, where he trained around 300 radiologists and surgeons as well as discussed the best way to approach early cancer detection in India.
