The European Association of Nuclear Medicine (EANM) has added the new position of scientific liaison officer on its board.
Michael Lassmann, PhD, from the nuclear medicine department at the University of Würzburg in Germany, has been appointed to the new position.
The scientific liaison officer's duties include promoting the multidisciplinary benefits of nuclear medicine and the contributions of EANM scientists. In addition, the position is designed to bolster existing projects and new initiatives in the area of science and research within the EANM and its EANM Research affiliate.
The EANM also announced plans to return to Barcelona in October for its annual meeting.
