A new 5 million pound (5.74 million euro) sports imaging facility is preparing to open its doors in North London on 23 April.
The Imaging Centre (TIC) at the Hive London, home of Barnet Football Club and the London Bees, will take National Health Service (NHS) referrals and will be open 12 hours a day, seven days a week with CT, MRI, ultrasound, and x-ray units. The center also features nine relocatable imaging trailers for U.K.-wide deployment.
Guest speakers at the 23 April opening will include Tessa Sanderson, six-time Olympian athlete and sports ambassador; Dr. Russell Bull, NHS consultant cardiac radiologist and president-elect of the British Society of Cardiovascular Imaging; Tony Kleanthous, Barnet Football Club chairman and CEO of the Imaging Centre; and Mark Hitchman, U.K. managing director of Canon Medical Systems.
