The Swedish county council of Blekinge is extending the functionality of its existing PACS from Sectra to include handling of nonradiology images. The move is designed to provide a more complete patient overview, according to the vendor.
The deal will provide Blekinge county council with an enterprise image management system that will include a medical multimedia archive, the Sectra vendor-neutral archive (VNA).
The previous contract included IT for patient information and management of medical images, Sectra RIS, and PACS, according to the firm.
