The Synapse web-based platform allows radiologists to replicate their reporting environment at home, providing access to the full set of image tools and the compression technology allows the software to function over restricted bandwidths and networks, according to the vendor. It can provide access to PACS and RIS, voice recognition for reporting, desktop integration between PACS and RIS, support for RIS- or PACS-driven reporting workflow, and access to advanced visualization tools, the firm said.
Fujifilm has provided a full range of hardware with the package, including a laptop workstation with a 6- or 10-megapixel diagnostic display, docking station, speech microphone, wireless mouse, and keyboard.
In other news, the company announced it has delivered its FDR Go mobile at Huddersfield Royal Infirmary, U.K. The Fujifilm FDR Go mobile is lightweight, compact, waterproof, and equipped with D-Evo II detectors, it said.
