Image management software developer BridgeHead Software helped Bradford Teaching Hospitals National Health Service (NHS) in the U.K. complete the second stage of its data management project.
The trust extended the use of BridgeHead's independent clinical archive, a third-generation vendor-neutral archive (VNA), to assist in its long-term storage strategy. Bradford migrated a total of 51,040 cardiology studies (more than 1.7 million images) equating to roughly 10 TB of data from its existing archive into BridgeHead's HealthStore system.
In addition, HealthStore is now the active archive for Bradford's newly created cardiology database, averaging around 1,000 studies per month.
