Medical imaging software developer Mirada Medical was chosen by the Netherlands Cancer Institute (NKI) to supply its RTx radiotherapy image fusion and contouring software to support planning for radiotherapy.
Mirada's RTx software helps the treatment specialist to define the tumorous tissue so healthy tissue can be avoided when giving treatment, the firm said. The software will support the NKI in delivering cancer care by increasing workflow efficiency through its automation technology, while at the same time facilitating the advancement in radiotherapy in the development of new protocols.
