Biomedical device company Biotronik has launched its new MRI-compatible ProMRI quadripolar cardiac resynchronization therapy defibrillator (CRT-D) in Japan.
The Itrevia 7 HF-T QP is designed for 1.5-tesla MRI scanners and, according to the company, is the first device on the market to combine the benefits of both MRI scans and a quadripolar left ventricular lead to potentially avoid phrenic nerve stimulation.
The release of Itrevia 7 in Japan is part of Biotronik's 2015 expanding portfolio in the country.
