Ultrasound acoustic measurement and testing firm Acertara Acoustic Laboratories has received the CE Mark for its Aureon ultrasound probe testing device.
Aureon directly visualizes sound energy emanating from the probe's aperture that allows for diagnosis of probe or system transmit-related problems. Because Aureon tests probes as they are connected to the host ultrasound system, it can be used with any model ultrasound system and probe.
Aureon can test almost any commercially available diagnostic ultrasound transducer regardless of the manufacturer of the probe, without the need for any external adaptors, the company said.
