French x-ray tube anode developer Acerde has signed a development contract with a Chinese medical imaging firm and reported developments with the production of rotating anodes.
The contract reinforces Acerde's position in China, which is seeking to build an independent domestic x-ray tube industry, according to the company. Acerde also said that it expects to scale up its production to 150 anodes per month by the end of the year.
In other product news, Acerde said it is already working on its next generation of rotating anodes and has developed a process to store reused waste anodes, which can't currently be recycled.
