Medical imaging industry trade organizations have joined forces to form an international body that includes representatives from Europe, Japan, Canada, and the U.S.
The Global Diagnostic Imaging, Healthcare IT, and Radiation Therapy Trade Association (DITTA) on Wednesday announced that it has officially been incorporated. The organization filed its certificate of incorporation in the U.S.
The following groups are DITTA members:
- European Coordination Committee of the Radiological, Electromedical, and Healthcare IT Industry (COCIR)
- Japan Medical Imaging and Radiological Systems Industries Association (JIRA)
- Canada's Medical Technology Companies (MEDEC)

DITTA's focus is to improve the global regulatory environment for industry, as well as improve market access in the medical imaging, radiation therapy, healthcare IT, electromedical, and radiopharmaceutical fields, the organization said.
