The IHE European Connectathon plans to expand this year to include European nations connecting health records in the large-scale European Patient Smart Open Service (epSOS) project.
The Connectathon is scheduled for Bern from 21 May to 25 May. It will host satellite meetings for e-health organizations as part of the connectivity marathon for interoperability of applications for health information systems with more than 300 IT engineers testing more than 120 systems over five days.
The event will test the expanded portfolio of IHE profiles to assess the flow of patient information. In addition, the new Cross-Enterprise Document Workflow (XDW) profile, designed to enable multiple caregivers to manage patient-centric workflows, will be tested.
