Attendance at last week's European Congress of Radiology (ECR) held its own by exceeding 20,000 delegates, the European Society of Radiology (ESR) has reported.

Final in-person attendance totaled 20,023 delegates (11,574 professional; 8,449 industry) representing 120 countries. In view of the financial difficulties and instability in the global economy, the fact that attendance remained stable is noteworthy. Also, plenary sessions were broadcast through a webcast, a new feature this year, and this attracted almost 3,000 unique visits, according to ESR.
This year, delegates from Italy took the honor as having the largest country contingent (1,205), followed by Austria (1,125), Germany (965), and the U.K. (509).
Last year, there were 20,120 delegates, which included 12,024 professional participants and 8,096 industry attendees.
