Special tribute planned for Marion Frank

In May, a special tribute event is scheduled for radiography's "great dame" Marion Frank (11 December 1920 – 15 September 2011). The tribute, Frankly Speaking, will be held at Regent Hall in London on 19 May. The Society of Radiographers, the British Institute of Radiology, the Royal College of Radiologists, and the friends of Marion Frank are organizing and sponsoring the event.

Frank was the superintendent radiographer of the Middlesex Hospital in London and principal of the Middlesex School of Radiography for many years. She was a past president of both the Society of Radiographers and the Royal College of Radiologists in the U.K., and a past board member of the International Society of Radiographers and Radiological Technologists (ISRRT). She supported many radiographers and students, both from the U.K. and overseas, and received the ISRRT Dien Van Dijk Award in 2010.
