Swedish PACS developer Sectra announced that it would transfer nearly 20 million euros to its shareholders following an extraordinary general meeting held at its Linköping headquarters on 22 November.
Five Swedish kronor (0.54 euros) per share, or a total of 184.2 million Swedish kronor (19.8 million euros), will be transferred to shareholders through a 2:1 share split, combined with a mandatory redemption process and stock dividend. The redemption process will take place automatically.
Sectra stated that the reason for the transfer was its strong financial position, with an equity/assets ratio of 64%. Divestment of operation for the development, production, and marketing of the Sectra MicroDose Mammography modality was cited as the primary reason for its strong financial position during this fiscal year.
Sectra's equity/assets ratio will not be less than 30%, according to the company's financial targets.
