Test

  • Choose the appropriate patient initially.
  • Teach the patient breathing instructions, and practice beforehand.
  • Ideal heart rate is between 60 and 65 beats per minute.
  • Use a large green cannula in the right antecubital fossa.
  • Choose the most appropriate gating technique for the likelihood of diagnostic success of the single phase.
  • Use a dual-phase contrast injection protocol with a saline flush, timed using a test bolus method.
  • Use a medium to smooth kernel to reconstruct, unless there is evidence of calcium or stent, in which case use a medium to sharp kernel.
  • Edit ECG appropriately if necessary.
