Contrast developer Bracco Imaging has agreed to acquire certain contrast media manufacturing facilities from longtime partner Nycomed.
Nycomed has manufactured contrast media for Bracco from the facilities in Singen, Germany, for 20 years. Under the deal, Bracco will take over the relevant part of the facilities by the end of 2011.
Nycomed will transfer the manufacturing license, plant, and personnel to a transitional company, which will be acquired by Bracco.
