Ultrasound vendor Ultrasonix Medical has opened a direct sales operations office in France to support Europe, the Middle East, and Africa markets, the company said.
The company has appointed Franck Labbe as general manager of the company's operations in these markets. Labbe has more than 20 years of experience in medical imaging, including a stint as CEO of France Medical Systems, which distributed Ultrasonix products in France, and service at Philips Healthcare as sales and marketing manager for CT, MRI, nuclear medicine, and x-ray in French territory, Ultrasonix said.
The company will also continue to sell its products through distributors outside of France, according to the firm.
