Ultrasound vendor Esaote has added capabilities to its Esaote MyLab ultrasound technology to enable the scanner to send images wirelessly to tablet PCs.
It is now possible to perform ultrasound examinations on the MyLab scanner and send clinical images to a tablet PC. At last month's European Congress of Radiology, Esaote demonstrated the feature with Motorola Mobility's Xoom tablet, which is equipped with a 1-GHz dual-core processor and 10.1-inch wide-screen HD display for high-definition views of clinical images, clips, and reports.
