Agfa HealthCare has signed a 4 million euro ($5.5 million U.S.) contract with Birmingham Children's Hospital NHS Foundation Trust in the U.K. to update the 280-bed hospital's information management system and PACS.
The seven-year contract will replace the trust's existing Agfa computed radiography systems and PACS, as well as a third-party RIS, with fully integrated Agfa products. The contract will also supply a new cardiology system.
The trust will begin installing and activating the systems over the next six to eight months, according to Agfa.
