Nordion has signed an agreement for Best Medical Belgium to acquire its MDS Nordion operations in Belgium.
The deal includes all of Nordion's Belgian operations except for its TheraSphere business. Best Medical also will hire Nordion's employees in Belgium, except workers at TheraSphere.
Nordion will leave an amount of capital in the business, currently estimated to be $18 million (U.S.). The final amount will be determined upon closing, which is expected to take place in the next several months.
