Agfa, TomTec ink echo software deal

Agfa HealthCare of Mortsel, Belgium, and imaging software developer TomTec Imaging Systems of Munich have announced an agreement to collaborate on an echocardiography analysis and measurement software package, Agfa said.

The two firms will integrate TomTec's Image-Arena package into Agfa's Impax Cardiovascular PACS software. Adding Image-Arena will allow Impax Cardiovascular to analyze and quantify 2D, 3D, and 4D data from a range of echocardiography systems.

The integrated package is intended for European distribution, Agfa said.
